Fidelity A tactile, differentiated direct mailer for a global equity solution
With the theme of “Discovery” in mind, Motion began by understanding the unique draws of the solution. We leaned into the diversity offered by its opportunistic all-market-cap approach, expanding this into a narrative of Fidelity enabling investors to discover quality gems across the world. Through meticulous fine-tuning, we created a miniature replica of a cargo ship—a powerful symbol of global trade, exploration, and possibilities.
An intricate construction with functional, thematic elements
Intricately crafted and packed with significance, it became a tactile storytelling tool for months of B2B activation and engagement across Singapore. The bespoke 3D-printed shipping vessel was complete with functional doors that opened on the sides, mirroring its life-sized counterpart. This detail enabled easy access to the contents during demonstrations; while magnetic, hand-sized containers were stacked atop the deck, each containing custom-designed cookies that featured a visual theme or stock holding within the fund.
A premium build designed for on-the-move activation
Designed for portability and high impact, the custom scale of the vessel enabled a seamless process of packing, transporting, setting up and engaging with. Paired with the fund’s presentation materials, it transformed standard training sessions into hands-on discovery moments, while striking the balance between premium design and operational agility.
Deepening connections in an industry of speed, virtuality and transactionality
Expanding its use across activations, the cargo ship was further repurposed to support a second fund offered by the firm, and also became the centerpiece of a “blind box” event for fund training. Fidelity’s plans to leverage the vessel for further use in client engagement exemplified the agility, versatility and longevity of a well-designed storytelling tool.
