Aesop New sensory dimensions in immersive storytelling
Our first collaboration, Episteme, presented an evocative installation of four filmic zones that forefronted Aesop’s skincare favourites against the backdrop of atmospheric films by Dutch artist Bart Hess. Each zone was demarcated by sculptural interventions that immersed visitors, crafted from organic, tactile, sustainability-forward materials precisely chosen after rigorous research and experimentation. Housed within Ion Art Gallery, signature scents and bespoke sound design by Ricky van Brookhaven accompanied guests on their journey through a curated environment of sensory intelligence and cultivated calm.
Scent as architecture, emotion and story, inviting guests into new worlds
We next brought to life Othertopias, launching Aesop’s new collection of fragrances through a multimedia exhibition featuring alluring films by digital artist David Quayola. The large-scale film triptych transported guests into abstract, cinematic landscapes that echoed each perfume’s character, presented alongside suspended, fragrance-infused porcelain discs that filled the air with invisible yet spatially perceptible structure. Guests meandered through candlelit corridors, mirrored thresholds and evolving fragrance zones—a vivid choreography of light, scent and space reflecting Aesop’s quiet luxury.
Sculpting continuity through a living, breathing spatial expression of skin
Khronos: A Skin Odyssey, the third chapter of our partnership, presented Aesop’s unhurried skincare reimagined through a 15,000-cardboard tube installation that enveloped guests in a single-surface architectural installation—materially chosen to evoke the skin’s porous texture. The tactile, curvilinear structures demonstrated Aesop’s restrained and purpose-driven design ethos, while blurring the threshold between interior and exterior. Set within the verdant surroundings of Fort Canning, a site that reinforced the synergy between skin, environment and mindful care, guests concluded their journey with skincare regimes and wellness workshops intimately tailored to their profiles and needs.
